Frequently asked questions

Where are passwords stored?

In your company directory. EagleSafe does not store your people’s passwords.

Who manages users and groups?

You do, in your directory, just as you do today. EagleSafe reads users and groups in read-only mode and applies the rules you set.

Which devices does EagleSafe ZTB support?

Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.

Do we need to open ports on the firewall?

No. The connector and zero trust access use outbound connections only: your network cannot be reached from the Internet.

Can we customise the sign-in pages?

Yes, with your company’s logo and name.

How is the second factor set up?

People do it themselves, on first sign-in: a guided process walks them through it step by step.

Which second factors can we use?

An authenticator app (codes), email or a push notification on the phone.

Do we have to recreate users in EagleSafe?

No. Active Directory users and groups are synced in read-only mode by the connector and stay in sync automatically; with Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta, JumpCloud and other OpenID Connect providers, people are recognised on first sign-in. Several providers can work side by side.

What gets logged?

Every sign-in and every change, with who made it and when.

What happens if our directory doesn’t respond?

Known sign-ins keep working for a while, and the second factor stays available.
